Summary: JCAN LLC does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We use no cookies, no analytics trackers, and no third-party scripts. Your mesh network data stays on your mesh network.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

JCAN LLC does not collect any personal data through our website (jcan.us) or our JC3 software products. Specifically:

  • No cookies - This website does not use cookies of any kind.
  • No analytics - We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking service.
  • No telemetry - JC3 software does not phone home, report usage data, or transmit any information to JCAN servers.
  • No third-party scripts - Except for Google Fonts CSS (for typography), no third-party JavaScript is loaded on this site.

2. GPS and Location Data

JC3 MESH and JC3 LINK request GPS permission on Android for position sharing within your mesh network. This location data:

  • Stays on your local mesh network
  • Is encrypted end-to-end with dual-layer encryption
  • Is never transmitted to JCAN LLC servers
  • Is never shared with any third party
  • Can be disabled at any time in the app settings

3. Contact Form

When you submit the contact form on our website, the information you provide (name, email, organization, message) is:

  • Sent to our contact email address (contact@jcan.us)
  • Used solely to respond to your inquiry
  • Not stored in any database
  • Not shared with any third party
  • Not used for marketing or mailing lists

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

JCAN LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any personal information with third parties. We have no advertising partners, no data brokers, and no monetization of user data.

5. Server Logs

Our web server (AWS Lightsail) maintains standard HTTP access logs that may include IP addresses and user agent strings. These logs are used exclusively for security monitoring and are automatically rotated and deleted after 30 days. They are not analyzed for tracking purposes.

6. GDPR / CCPA Compliance

JCAN LLC is compliant with GDPR and CCPA by design: we do not collect personal data, so there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or port. If you have submitted a contact form and wish to have your correspondence deleted, email privacy@jcan.us.

7. Children's Privacy

JC3 products are designed for defense, government, and professional use. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page with an updated effective date. We will not retroactively reduce your privacy protections.
